[O B S E R V A N T]
"[We'd be better to mark this tree as it's closest to the border since something came through here not long ago. That way, any wayward cats will know that Shadow owns this territory.]"
Wyn would be the first identify changes in her territory very quickly. She'd be able to notice so much as a change in scent, a broken branch, even the change in the air of her surroundings. She's not just in tune with her surroundings, it's almost like she has eyes everywhere. Including with other cats. She's generally pretty quiet so she let's her eyes roam and she can pick up on subtle things, whether mod changes or even tone off voice. If something is wrong, Wyn will know.

[M A T E R N A L]
"[Dulle, please put more poultice on your eye or it'll go completely blind. Can you do that, snow ball?]"
Though this is something new to Wyn, it comes naturally for her to have a sort of motherly attitude with cats she familiarizes with. If you are lucky enough to be recognized as family by her, expect to be treated family, if not like her own cub. Family was something she had little time with in Rome, so she intends to make the best of it, starting with her adoptive cub Dullahan.

[A W K W A R D]
"[I um, I made this salve for the burn you have! Course I'm no healer but you can use it just fine and it'll work just as well. But you don't have to use it if you don't wish too...!]"
Given her interactions in life, and her previous life in solitude, she doesn't embarrass herself unless she is comfortable with the other cat present and if they're comfortable with her too. She is awkward by nature and has been since she was a cub. Some habits die hard unfortunately. But fear not, she won't be the cat to blatantly ruin a conversation or embarrass anyone. It'd be more embarrassing herself.

[R E S E R V E D]
"[I apologize for not putting my word in earlier, I just assumed my opinion wouldn't have changed the outcome of the hunt since we caught the culprit anyway.]"
Not much of a talker, Wyn would much rather watch and listen to others. She's normally a rather quiet girl, so don't expect any noises or anything from her. You might get a squeak from her, but that's a slim chance. She chooses her words carefully and is familiar with silence. But when she does speak it's well intended and thought out.

[P E C U L I A R]
"[Mind you friend, I find it odd that the voices say you aren't to be trusted...]"
Some say it's the way she looks, others believe it's her aura, the way she presents herself, no one knows. Wyn has been an odd one since birth, talking to strangers of the air, hallucinations. Her father thought her to be half mad, her mother said she was gifted, and in turn, both were correct. The words meant nothing to her though with her 'friends' calling her strange, possessed, and enchanting. It was all in her head though, not that she knew it herself. But even with this odd quirk, she still manages to keep herself sane. She's just normally... Odd.

[L O Y A L]
"[Loyalty cannot be simply give, it must be earned.]"
Her trust was one to earn, and if earned, will never crumble under pressure or stress. She is a loyal friend, a trusting ally and will let her instincts tell her who she's to let her life be trusted with in return, be they Hunter, Empire, or of Roman origin. If threatened though, she'll defend herself and her cub Dullahan, trusted friend or not.

Bullet; Pink Background Information Bullet; Pink

Shadows of her family, friends that were only visible to her eyes. Wyndigo, or Thisbe as her family called her, was born of the shadows herself it seemed.

Her parents didn't have any fantasy love story of how they met or when they fell in love. It was a business agreement based on their masters, though the two were fond of each other as friends. And out of this business agreement, Thisbe was the product, a black hybrid cub along with two golden hybrids, her siblings Anomus and Bahamut. There was nothing special about her birth, it was normal under all circumstances. She was the last one born, the only one black. Her father believed it was due to his father, Ace, who was also a black leopard. He was a Massillian hunter, though he hadn't heard from in in years. Either way, they loved their little oddball like all their cubs, just like any other parent would.

But some things about her were odd.

Thisbe would talk to herself, more than a normal cub would. She had done this since she was newborn, but her parents believed it to be cub gibberish and thought nothing of it. But when their daughter became reserved and silent more than her siblings, well they became concerned. Her father believed she was going through a phase, her mother claims her gifted. They had no idea that Thisbe was mentally ill...

But as she began to grow of age, to where she could live on her own, she began to fear these voices she always heard. And with this fear in mind, Thisbe fled Rome to live in the wild at barely a year old. (July 46 B.C.) She feared that the voices would one day hurt those around her, and being the kind spirit she was, decided it was for the better. But she didn't leave unscathed, her scars being burns from the prods the humans used to keep her at bay.

Thisbe, though she still breathes, doesn't really exist anymore. Wyn had begun her reign over the shadows of the Roman woods, be it a small area. Quiet and reclusive, it is often rare for hunters to find her since she changes her dwellings every few seasons. But should anyone stumble upon her, she wasn't the same young cat she was when she ran away. She matured over her months in solitude and had come to terms with the hallucinations she was born with, her 'gift' as she calls it, welcoming it even. Wyn, with her peace of mind, has no particular allegiance, preferring to go solo in life, unless she finds a particular interest in another. But with her being, well herself, it's hard to come by often.

There were few she knew of who could handle and trust the way she was, one of them being her half-sister Lilith. It was early spring when her sister had found her, the leopardess heavily pregnant. (February 45 B.C.) Wyn, as any good sister, helped her the best she could, and sure enough her sister gave birth to 3 small cubs, Othello, Lilac, and Diedra, but at the cost of her own life, leaving Wyn with 3 young cubs and no one to nurse them. So the leopon panicked.

She nursed the best she could those few days, but as she was nothing more than a cub herself, it only made things worse. It wasn't until that evening that a bobcat by the name of Rya, along with a small cub of her own named Mana, found the group. Seeing Wyn struggling so much, she took initiative and helped nurse them. After much debate, the two agreed to travel to Massilla, a place where Rya heard of her daughter's whereabouts and also where Wyn believed the cubs would thrive without the oppressive Roman hunters and the defectors. The following morning they were set to travel. It took them several months on foot, but the weather was kind and they arrived safely, where Wyn passed on the triplets to a kind lion in Ice Empire named Angel. (May 45 B.C.) The family seemed loving so Wyn trusted them almost immediately.

Still sensing her time in Rome was not finished, the leopon left the cubs with their new family, traveling back to her home and friends. (August 45 B.C.) She settled for the quiet in her time in Rome, learning off the land and traveling felines that chose to pass their knowledge on to her, those being healers, ex-hunters, cats with merchants, travelers and so forth. It filled her mind with wisdom and filled her satchels with medicines and materials. The kindness she was given drove her to help others, but she didn't know it'd be so soon that she'd have to extent that kindness.

-----

It wasn't until she found a cub, a little hybrid she could tell, wandering around out in the forest on a hunt she had one night. (September 45 B.C.) Now she had assumed the cub lost but was surprised to find her waltz on home shortly after. And as suspicion would have it, Wyn kept up her visits, curious, and every time she'd see the cub. Eventually she decided to talk to the little hybrid, only to scare her off with her dark appearance, something Wyn was accustomed to. She could be a fright after all, it's how she got her namesake.

But Wyn couldn't shake the feeling she had about the cub. Something seemed off. In Rome, the Solus knew of the warring factions of cats, and this cub seemed to smell of mountains and snow. So she assumed she was of Olum descent, a group she tried to avoid constantly, but having territory that bordered their own made that difficult. It was a constant war with them. So the leopon saw good reason to abandon the pack, but for one so young? It worried her.

So when the cub left the next night, all packed up and ready to set out into the world, Wyn had been prepared. She had packed up her den, donned her armor and packed her satchel to the brim with medical salves just incase. Wherever this cub was going, she had a bad feeling, a worry. The voices in her head nagged her to leave the cub be, others spoke to protect her. So to settle her aching mind, Wyn followed the little hybrid like a shadow, keeping her existence unknown to the young feline.

And as luck would have it, when Wyn thought she was in the clear to take a quick water break, a pack of wolves had managed to snag her little cub while she was occupied. Three of the beasts had cornered and injured the cub along her face and ear, and in a rage she never knew of, Wyn charged the wolves in a fit of anger, managing to scare off two and killing the younger pup as it tried to hurt her cub again. By the time she had turned to check on the hybrid, she'd already fallen unconscious so Wyn set to work with her herbs and bandages, silently thanking those who taught her these skills and giving her the materials. It was going to be a long night, so once finished, she grabbed the cub by the scruff and drug her to a small cave the leopon had passed on her journey.

It was hours later when the cub would wake so Wyn had went to hunt for the two of them, knowing that they'd both be pretty hungry from the journey. She'd left to fetch some hares, and when she arrived back at the cave, the cub was awake, investigating the cave and she could have smiled had the hares not been in her maw. Setting one down by the cub, she settled with her own a small distance away and began to eat. Then Wyn spoke. "How'd you sleep?" She said simply, and the cub shrugged stiffly. "Good.. I guess."

Nodding in silence, the leopon set her hare tail at the cub's paws, smiling when she began to clean it and her own hare tail too to place them with the wolf tail Wyn had saved for her. Interesting. It reminded her of a cat she'd met in the Olum once, a small little shadow of a cat. Perhaps that 's who got this cub obsessed with tails as well...

"I didn't need your help, you know." The hybrid said finally, standing up. She instantly regretted getting up when her head started pounding and her legs gave out on her. She plopped back down with a frown, though that hurt too. Wyn said nothing, only turning when the cub finally asked, "Who are you?"

"I'm Thisbe, but most call me Wyndigo. You may call me whichever you like." She responded, padding closer with more herbs and fresh bandages. "Sit still." She said while unwrapping the bandages around the hybrid's face. They fell to the floor and Wyn spit an herb poultice onto the new bandages and wrapped them around the wound again, covering her eye.

-----
The next day, Wyn was surprised when the cub called her by her name, and asking for food no less, so she'd silently complied. It just meant that she was feeling better...

Later that day the cub was able to get up and walk around. "I'm going to keep travelling, and I don't need you to protect me!" She said as Wyn opened her mouth to object. The cub was already out the cave though so Wyn had gathered her things and followed a little ways behind her, not trying to hide like before.
"Leave me alone." The cub yelled behind her, lashing her long tail. But Wyn stayed close, there was no way she'd leave her alone after last time with the wolves...

They found shelter for the night, and it had started raining. The small makeshift den was too small for the two to make separate nests, and so they had to sleep with their pelts brushed close together. Wyn made sure to check on her at intervals to be sure the cub hadn't run off until morning.

The next morning, Wyn was moving around in the small den, gathering her things and also preparing a few poultices for when the cub would wake. So when the cub sat up, Wyn had more herbs and bandages ready. She did the same as before, removing the bandages and replacing it with new ones, with fresh medicine.
"What is your name? Are you lost?" Wyn asked as she wrapped the bandages around.
"I'm Cl-- Dullahan, and no I'm not lost!" She hissed, flinching back once the bandages had been wrapped, though Wyn assumed it was just pain from her eye. She never assumed anything and never questioned her further after that.

It'd been nearly three months then (December 45 B.C.), and Wyn still followed Dullahan around to make sure she was okay and healing well. The cub, then 8 months old when the two had met, had warmed up to Wyn and the pair became close. They were nearing their destination, and Wyn had allowed Dullahan to take off her bandages, with the promise that she'll apply herb poultices on every other day to keep the now scarring wound from getting infected.

One morning after making a small den, Wyn awoke to an empty den and a missing cub. (December 45 B.C.) She was left a gift message, a hare and the wolf tail the leopon had given the cub. And she knew, just from the tail that Dullahan would be back. So she waited. It was many months she stayed in the cave, keeping to herself, mending her poultices, hunting and receiving the occasional sighting of a strange lion in her time there. The days faded one after the other until one day Wyn saw a shadow coming down their path to the den. And she knew. Dullahan was home. (March 44 B.C.)

"Did you find what you were looking for?" Wyn asked, and Dulle shook her head. Wyn offered the young feline some food and they didn't travel any further that night.

They stayed in the same den for nearly another year, when finally her cub decided she wanted to live in the city. (Mar. 44 B.C. to Oct.44 B.C.) Wyn, cautious of the city and hunters she knew were there, shrunk back from the idea. Memories of long ago still haunted her, memories of Rome, the Olum... The leopon saw a happier life with the empires, where they had strength in numbers. But knowing Dulle's origins... It made her heard ache.

"What will you decide, moye zoloto?" The leopon asked quietly to the hybrid. Deep down, Wyn was terrified of leaving her cub to the wilds and city on her own, but on the other hand, she understood Dulle more than others did. Whatever she chose, the dark feline would respect it. Even if it broke her heart.

So after a long heart to heart with her cub, and heart to heart it was, the two parted ways. (November 44 B.C.) They still loved each other very much, but Wyn was set on joining the empires and Dulle the hunters. So that night, the two said farewell and parted ways.

It would take her a few months to gather herself to officially join the empire, her constant contrast of thoughts telling her it was unwise. Those months debating with herself seemed to have made time for one of her brothers to find her, as miraculous as it was. Anomus, one of her older siblings, though the same litter, had managed to finally get her to decide, and finally, Wyn, along with her bother,, walked into a Fire patrol one night, requesting an audience with their leader.

And that was how she ended up in Fire empire. (January 43 B.C.)

* ROLE PLAY SCENE

From Kricket's Application

--The carabob jumped back with a hiss, her hackles rising in distaste. It was barely dusk, and her patrol outside the wall for the evening had been going steadily well, unless you count the fool of a leopard that had stuck up on her. He was adorned in some foreign armor, made of reds, golds and browns, a hood over his head. A deep growl came from his throat, the whites of his fangs shining with a lethal glow, eyes still shadowed. Kricket had no idea as to who this male was, but he had picked the wrong fell to piss off. She'd make sure he understood it too.

Jumping forward, the carabob dove left, claws aimed at the underside of his armor only to meet air as he slid the opposite way, a paw swatting at her head and missing my millimeters. Growling, she lunged forward for a direct attack, planning on throwing him off with the frontal attack instead of diversions but he simply grinned and lunged as well, the leopard's weight countering her smaller one, knocking the two tumbling to the ground.

Dazed, Kricket's purple eyes focused on the dark figure above her, those fangs glinting dangerously close to her throat. This close up, she realized she could see her attacker's eyes, and glanced up with a grunt only to have her blood run cold as she recognized that familiar gleam, the alluring color of someone she held dear. She could only utter their name before they dove forward, fangs sinking into her throat.

"______!"

The dark hybrid awoke with a start, ears drawn back. Around her was the common area of her home, her cushion and water, the fire pit burning on low embers as her master slept soundly in the bed above her. Violet eyes glanced about the room, sleep still fogging her vision. It was only a dream. There was no way someone could kill her.

Lying her head back on her paws, she let her mind drift off into a restless slumber, images of this eyes haunting her mind, muttering to herself before eventually sleep took a deep hold of her.
"No one can kill me. I'm invincible..."

Bullet; Pink Random Facts, Quirks, and Fears Bullet; Pink

  • Wyn hates barn owls. Something about these silent birds gives Wyn an uneasy feeling. She's always thought it an omen to hear the barn owls screech as it signifies the harbinger of death, and to cross her path, meant that danger, or worse death, lurked ahead.
  • Her fur and mane have the texture of feathers, being very soft to the touch and perfect for colder weather. It's great for smaller cats when they want to sleep warmly.
  •  She also has a fear for dark waters. A believer in things untold, she doesn't trust what she can't see, and that's saying a lot since she can 'see' a lot. It was a fear as a cub she had that she'd die in deep water, the color such an inky blue she'd lose the light on her way down. Rationally, she could swim in it fine being half leopard but she still refuses to approach dark waters, even to get a drink.
  • Her armor consists of hide pelts with a hood/ head piece that has Roe deer antlers that she wears down unless it's snowing. There are two pelts layered for the winters, the top pelt's edged lined with fur. She wears a small satchel that carries her herbs, poultices, and salves.
  • Wyn has a set of tools she brought over from Rome. A flat, slightly grainy stone and a round, half, circle rock that she uses to grind herbs and berries to make medicinal salves and paints. She usually keeps this in her den along with some elk and deer skulls she uses as dishes. Wyn uses large leaves to store some of these in a pouch she has on her armor.
  • Hallucinations are something Wyn suffers from on occasion. She acknowledges it as she's ill, but doesn't believe it's a mental illness, just that she's special. You can find her often talking or arguing to herself offhandedly which is odd given her quiet nature. The official diagnosis is that she is in fact Schizophrenic.
  • Having watched hunters and healers with her father in Rome and also learning from wandering felines outside of the city on her travels, Wyn still remembers what plants were for what, what kills and what cures, anything. She came to thank her father for the opportunity to earn such a benefitting tool as well as the felines who were kind enough to bestow their knowledge with her.
  • Wyn has adopted the cub Dullahan as her own with the travel they took to get to the Empires from Rome. (Sept. 45 B.C. to Oct. 44 B.C.) She has an overwhelming protective nature when it comes to her and will kill anything that harms her little one.

[Medical Knowledge and Practice]

Wyn has a keen eyes for plants, and as such her knowledge of what to do with them has been on par with even the healers in the empires. She always has a medical salve prepared for whenever she or another cat, like Dullahan, needs it. She has also been known to collect and recommend remedies to cats from any empire since she is of true neutral alignment. Her medical skills were learned through observation from her time in Rome as well as from traveling felines who mentored her.

[Stealth and Ambush Attacks]
Being black as night itself, Wyn has the upper advantage when it comes to stealth and ambushes. She normally hunts at night and leisurely hunts during the day if hungry, using the shadows to her advantage. But when it comes to stealth, it's hard to beat her. She practically blends with the shadows with her pelt, which makes any shadows in the empire seem like home.
